Poverty, Excuses & Devastating Inflation
Let’s be honest with ourselves. Nobody likes the idea of starving and the inability to afford necessities in life. It doesn’t matter where you stand in life. You’ll think about earning enough money so you can afford a roof, decent food to support your family. Unless you’re filthy rich and have no financial problems which are not the case with most of the people.
Fewer job opportunities & excess workforce
We live when inflation is skyrocketing, living expenses are getting unbearable, and salaries are too low or absolutely nothing. Due to excess in the workforce and less work, people are willing to go for free labor. Those who equip themselves with knowledge and skills can go higher if they adapt to changes appropriately. Those who don’t will end up going out of business.
There are two categories of fresh workers:
- Non serious people who want to make easy money without putting effort who badly affect the market.
- Serious and dedicated people who put full effort into their work.
Nonserious people go to the marketplace to get work; surprisingly, they get jobs even without any skill and knowledge related to the job they get. Many would say it’s fair to get work first and learn along the way. But that depends on the nature of work. Like if you get a job as a lifeguard without knowing how to swim. You will most likely end up saved than saving somebody.
I am personally against the idea of diving into any job without even knowing the basics. You would be in some serious trouble unless you got somebody who got your back, which doesn’t always happen.
Then there are serious and dedicated people who put effort into their work; earning reputation and trust in the market. Some may have to experience difficulty getting a job if they’re in the same market as nonserious ones. Ultimately what makes them stand out are their skills, effort, and work ethics.
Poverty & Excuses
Ever soaring inflation that devastated the world’s economy during COVID had a heavy impact on poor people. Thanks to donations people give and effort and work of poor people they do to survive, keep them afloat.
Let’s explore the root of poverty. Many factors give rise to poverty; that could be living in underdeveloped areas, garbage quality of education, high living expenses, etc. The real reasons everybody overlooks happen to be GREED and EXCUSES. Human greed is something that’s not exclusive to rich but poor as well. They tend to make excuses for avoiding hard work for easy money. However, there are differences in how rich and poor operate and make decisions to improve their lives.
Greed in poor people gets much worse than rich. They want everything for themselves without sharing with others and justify their actions by claiming to be poor. I believe that being poor is an internal state, and being broke is an external state. Poor will stay poor if their hearts and minds remain poor. They will become stable if their minds and hearts get rich.
Types of Poor People
There are many types of poor people:
- Those who are smart and keep using many strategies to grow (they eventually become really successful in life later on).
- Those work extra hard without excuses to support their families. (they can grow much bigger if they’re provided a suitable platform)
- Those who content with their current situation (though there is nothing wrong with being content but I can’t say it’s the ideal life for ambitious people like me but it works fine as long they aren’t doing anything morally wrong).
- Those who love complaining about being poor, not willing to put any effort into making their lives better even when they’re given opportunities which they keep missing (people like them either lead lives of shame and beg for money OR resort to stealing and murders to get what they want OR end up in situations that completely ruin their lives).
Things that separate winners and losers
Ambitions and goals are what separate winners and losers. Though not every human being has dreams and goals, those who do have greater chances to succeed in life as long as they pursue their goals no matter how much odds they have to face. After enduring the pain and overcoming obstacles, they grow and reap the fruits of their hard work and efforts.
Losers will always make excuses and stuck at the bottom while blaming others for their condition; unless they realize their faults and start working, which is a pretty rare occurrence. They would rather spend time complaining when they could be spending time improving themselves. Do mind that living with modesty doesn’t equate being a loser; the definition of winner depends on person to person. Losers, in general, are just whiny people who want to avoid exploring growth and pick path that suits them best.
Devastating Inflation’s Impact
Inflation has skyrocketed during COVID, which shook not only the poor class but middle and higher class people as well. However, it opened many other possibilities to explore. Those who took it as an opportunity had their businesses explode; those who refused to adapt to changes were affected (not everyone). The fact remains that only business owners benefited a lot from COVID while salarymen took a huge blow. So many lost their jobs, got their salaries cut, etc.
Now that competition for jobs has gotten much gruesome. Thousands of people compete over a few job posts; where they won’t even get any decent pay (hard times make people desperate to even work for free. This makes them easy to exploit by employers). Though not all employers do that, some “actually” care about their employees and gain their trust and loyalty. These are employers that will last longer in the race. Unlike those who hire cheap or free labor to work for them and replace them with other desperate people who would be willing to work for free. They might survive for a while, but in the long run, they will run out of business, trust, and loyalty.
Conclusion
Initially, I intended to write a full post. Since it got pretty long, I decided to make it into two parts. To conclude this half, I would like to mention a few things. Though I am sure many wouldn’t agree with because these do not apply to people who aren’t willing to adapt and grow; except those who share the same ideals as me would agree.
Being born poor is not by choice but staying poor is. People aren’t forced into things; they do but rather they choose to do what they do whether it’s blaming others for their misfortune; put effort into making their lives better. It’s easy to beg for money but it’s hard to earn it with your own effort unless you invest in developing your mindset which not many are willing to do.
I am aware of the fact that not many people get to succeed in life. Going against the flow is something not many are able to do. Those who do have much better results than those who don’t. Those who do will get results are totally worth all the pain and effort.
I will be singing out now.
